West Slope Angels

Chapters are hubs of angel investment and company formation. These are areas where we have strong investor participation and regular events. It's important to note that by joining West Slope Angels, you do not need to be part of a chapter. If you are not located near an existing chapter, or you just prefer to operate independently, you scan still receive newsletters of network wide deals and information.

Steamboat Springs

The first West Slope Angels chapter is home to Four Points Funding and numerous outdoor product companies inlcuding Smartwool, BOA, Big Agnes, and Honey Stinger.

Carbondale

One of the most active areas of investment and startups in Western Colorado, if not all of Colorado. Carbondale is home to accelerator and coworking space Coventure, as well as four West Slope Angels portfolio companies.

Telluride

Telluride was one of the first communities to pursue startup investing in rural Colorado with the Telluride Venture Accelerator, Telluride Venture Fund and Telluride Angels. The Greater Colorado Venture Fund also has roots in Telluride.

Vail Valley

Eagle, Vail, Edwards, and Avon have a fast growing investment and startup scene. Venture funds, technology businesses, and outdoor companies alike are choosing to start and relocate here.

Durango

Durango boasts one of three of Colorado's companies sold for over $1B and many other success stories. The result is a vibrant startup ecosystem with a growing tech base. Their local accelerator, SCAPE, has launched dozens of companies and created well over 100 jobs.

Summit County

Silverthorne serves as the home of our Summit chapter, and has had one of the fastest ramps of any community. After years of locals organizing the startup ecosystem, Summit is suddenly poised to play a major part in West Slope innovation. Benefiting from close proximity to the front range, Summit is also emerging as a connector to the urban corridor.

Winter Park

One of our newest chapters, Winter Park is attracting a lot of talent from the Front Range. The Green Spaces coworking space is forming a new hub of innovation in Grand County, and the commuinity is passionate about supporting local business and attracting new ones.

Grand Junction

One of the fastest growing areas in the state, Grand Junction offers big-city opportunities with large companies and startups like. Home to Colorado Mesa University, one of the fastest growing universities in the nation, as well as the Grand Junction Economic Partnership, an amazing group that galvanizes local business and development.

SoCo Angels

Reaching from Colorado Springs to Cañon City to Buena Vista, this group is focused on supporting startups and job training to create a more economically diverse future that brings the highest quality of life to all in the region.
