Some of the most asked questions we get
We are looking for companies with some level of traction and real growth potential. We focus on typical venture deals investing in equity and convertible debt, but are open to other forms of investing. If you are a company located in Rural Colorado with a solid team and plan that needs to put a little gas in the tank, feel free to contact us. If you're located in a town with an active Chapter, generating local support is the best path forward.
Typical rounds for companies we are talking to range from $250K - $1.5M. Our check size is in the $150-500k range, often with paired investment from our broader network, and we're not afraid to lead a round. For individual investors, the minimum check size per company is just $10K.
WSA is a syndicate, not a fund. All investments are opt-in at time of investment with no up-front commitment from investors. We are working hard to minimize barriers for investors. So, we'll perform the due diligence and set up the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for each individual investment. There are minimal fees and carry to encourage investors to participate. For each investment, there is a one-time fee for lifetime management of the investment (~$10K paid to a third party firm) that is shared pro-rata with investors who opt in and a 15% carry on back end profit.
